Kara's Game was developed in Summer of 2014. A single t-ball game in honor of Kara, who had special needs and gained her angel wings in 2013.
Over the years that single game has grown into a full season in spring and the fall, with up to 8 teams and over 100 players.
Kara's Game is for all ages and abilities. The games are played at no cost to the players. Kara's Game operates solely on donations and fundraising events. Our main fundraiser is our Fireworks Stand. We are also blessed with a yearly donation from Four Kings Motorcycle Club, who host a Poker Run every June in Blackwell, Ok.
In 2017 we won a grant from State Farm Insurance, and with that grant we purchased 15 acres of land in Blackwell, OK West of Southwest Cupid Softball Complex. Since that time we have been raising money to make our "Field of Dreams" a reality. We broke ground in June 2023, with hopes facility will be ready for games by fall 2023.
The purpose of Kara’s Game is to provide charitable services to the special needs children and adults in our community as well as surrounding communities. We will provide them a safe field to play the great games, with their specific special needs in mind. We will also provide them with team shirts and trophies, at no cost to the playe
The purpose of Kara’s Game is to provide charitable services to the special needs children and adults in our community as well as surrounding communities. We will provide them a safe field to play the great games, with their specific special needs in mind. We will also provide them with team shirts and trophies, at no cost to the players or their families. Kara's Game and its volunteers will be encouraging self-growth, promoting self-esteem, provide team-building experiences, and strengthen friendships among the players.
Your donation will help build our new accessible fields, with larger dugouts and flat playing field. We are starting from ground up and need your help to make it happen.
Your support is greatly appreciated, and all donations are a 501c3 tax deduction.
